Welcome to the Clearwater Halfathon website. Join
us on our challenging and visually varied out-and-back course, which
showcases Florida's coastal living. You'll run over the
majestic Clearwater Memorial
Bridge, along perfectly manicured Clearwater Causeway,
through Clearwater Beach and through Sand Key Park. You'll love the morning view from Clearwater Pass Bridge, with the sun rising over the bay to the east and the aquamarine Gulf of Mexico to the west. This course just might be the most scenic half marathon in Florida, as well as the most challenging, with four ascents over our fixed bridges.

The
Clearwater Halfathon was conceived in 2006 to replace
the Florida Gulf Beaches Marathon, which was cancelled
due to road construction at one of the most
narrow parts of the marathon course. In the future, we
intend to offer both the marathon and this half marathon
on the same January weekend, which will increase total
participation. But if you are not ready for a marathon, you can always grab a welcome bonus to play at online casino from here and have some fun.
Average
weather in January: Low 52, High 72.
5TH ANNUAL GULF BEACHES HOLIDAY HALFATHON
was created to
complement our marathon and is scheduled for December 10,
2015 . It is perfectly timed for runners training for Disney,
Gasparilla, Miami, Ocala, or for endurance athletes seeking
a final race before the holidays.
All our races are located on Florida's west coast near
Tampa Bay. With our award-winning, white sandy beaches,
we are quickly becoming known as "Florida's Beach" -
the perfect spot to recover after running our endurance
races.
FEEDBACK
FROM OUR INAUGURAL RACE
Nice going on the inaugural Clearwater 1/2 today, the course was perfectly marked. Thank you for two very nice events this season. - Joe Burgasser, St. Petersburg
Very nice race. The course was loaded with police and they kept the traffic at bay, a real plus. The bridges were a challenge which made it fun. It was well organized. - Deb & James Ryder, Redington Beach
Having done both running races and triathlons in Clearwater area since the late 80’s, I got to say that this was one of the absolute best local races. Thanks so much for a superb job – great volunteers – fantastic course, loved it. - Anders Heidemann, Largo
The halfathon was a challenge, just as you promised. I enjoyed it and was pleased with the course and support. It was a well-organized event. If I do it again, I'm going to do some serious hill training. - Cathy deHaan, Seminole
Once again your organization did an outstanding job. This was one of the most fun 1/2 marathons I have done so far. The last bridge at 12 miles was a great test of my hill training. Our club is going to Puerto Rico on Friday to do the San Blas 1/2 marathon which has major hills. Your race was a perfect warm-up. - Mike Kneapler, Land ‘O Lakes Road Runners
The race was great. It was my first half marathon. I knew it was going to be tough. If I were to run another race, I would make it this one. I had a great time. Thanks for making it an enjoyable experience for me and my family. - Bob Ribby, High School P.E. Teacher and Girls track coach, Eaton Rapids, MI
